It looks like April is going to be one of the coldest in Iceland for many years and that has affected the fishing in our Minnivallalækur river. But despite conditions we are catching fish like well-known angler Nils Jörgensen did one day in last week and he did send us the following status report from the lodge

Hello and a happy new season
Iceland started off as annually on the 1rst of April when several trout rivers, some with sea trout, others with stationary stocks, were opened. In short, the opening days were outstanding and most of the rivers were recording some of the best start-off fishing for years.
